I am thrilled to be producing a second series of Skinner Boys with our broadcast partners the Nine Network in Australia and Super RTL in Germany, our co-production partners Telegael in Ireland and our distribution partners ZDF Enterprises’ said Executive Producer and CEO of SLR Productions, Suzanne Ryan “Audiences in Australia and Germany have really responded to the action, humour and non-stop adventures of The Skinner Boys and it’s wonderful to be working with the same talented team of writers, cast and artists on season two.

We are pleased to be working again with Suzanne Ryan and the team at SLR Productions’ said Executive Producer, Drama of Nine Network Australia, Jo Rooney. ‘Following the success of previous partnerships with SLR Productions on the animated series Gasp! and Deadly, we are excited to collaborate on this adventure comedy show. SLR Productions has a strong track record of delivering quality animated children's programmes and ‘The Skinner Boys’ will be a great addition to the line-up of shows Nine Network offers its C Drama audience”.

Germany’s Super RTL programmer, Carsten Goette said “We are very proud of our partnership with SLR Productions on this series. Our first viewing of ‘The Skinner Boys’ instantly revealed the potential of the series and convinced us to invest in developing and producing with our partners this high-quality animated series”.

Telegael CEO Paul Cummins said “The Skinner Boys is an epic adventure series where young Tara, her three Skinner boy cousins and their faithful butler, travel the world to the most exotic places to find lost, ancient, magical artefacts and keep them safe from the forces of evil. Following on the success of season one, Telegael is delighted to partner once again with SLR Productions, Nine Network, SUPER RTL and ZDF Enterprises to produce twenty-six more exciting episodes.

At ZDF Enterprises we are pleased to be entrusted with the international distribution of a further production from Suzanne Ryan and her team. Following the live action series “Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures” and the animated series “Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs”, we are now eagerly awaiting the new adventures of The Skinner Boys together with children from all around the world” said Arne Lohmann, VP ZDFE.junior at ZDF Enterprises.

As all who experienced the adventures of the first series will recall, following the death of World explorer, Augustus Skinner, his three teen grandsons inherited the big, old Skinner mansion. Grandpa Skinner left them not only his grand mansion but also another more intriguing surprise - they are now Guardians of the Lost Secrets... a collection of unique artefacts across the world that possess incredible powers. If that wasn’t enough, there’s an even bigger surprise in store. Grandpa Skinner appointed a fourth Guardian, their feisty teenage cousin Tara. As these boys know almost nothing about girls – she’s probably their biggest challenge of all and vice-versa.

Together the four teenagers continue to outsmart the world’s evil who are constantly outfoxed by these goof-ball teens who, as anonymous Guardians, must dedicate their lives to protecting these ancient artefacts and continue the legacy of the Guardians of the Lost Secrets.

The Skinner Boys is based on an original creation by Australian artist Steve Lyons.
