Most famous animal in the world will star on specially created t-shirts and bags

Independent licensing company Rocket Licensing, which manages the UK and Ireland licensing campaign for JIFFPOM on behalf of brand owner Cutelife Inc. has announced a collaboration between the Pomeranian dog phenomenon and globally famous fashion icon Vivienne Westwood.

Already a star of Vivienne Westwood’s global autumn/winter advertising campaign, JIFFPOM is now the face of two Vivienne Westwood t-shirts and one Vivienne Westwood bag specially created for the autumn/winter edition of Paris Fashion Week (24 September – 2 October).

All of the design house’s models will be wearing a JIFFPOM t-shirt backstage at the Vivienne Westwood fashion show on 29 September, with a limited-edition Vivienne Westwood JIFFPOM range becoming available for purchase at selected Vivienne Westwood stores and online soon after.

JIFFPOM is a real-life Pomeranian dog with an adorable teddy-like appearance and a talent for tricks, having broken two Guinness World Records for being the fastest dog on two legs. He is now the star of numerous viral videos and has a huge social media presence. With over 30 million followers (and growing) across all social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, musical.ly, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram, JIFFPOM is officially the most famous animal in the world. He’s also in the world’s top five most popular emojis and in 2017 set the record for most Instagram followers by an animal, with over 8.8 million and counting.

JIFFPOM has inspired apps, a forthcoming TV show and film, and now a multi-category licensing campaign managed in the UK by Rocket. With a strong target market of girls aged from 6 to tween and teen, as well as gift buyers and, of course, dog lovers, the campaign has strong potential in categories ranging from toys to toiletries, apparel to accessories. Products already available include tees, sweats and knitwear, and a selfie and sticker book, journal and e-book from Scholastic. JIFFPOM has also been a favourite feature among readers of Girl Talk magazine, where he was featured in an exclusive Cuteness ‘101’ interview and book promotion.

Rob Wijeratna, Joint Managing Director of Rocket Licensing, says: “The enormous visual appeal of JIFFPOM has already brought him into millions of homes worldwide via social media, books and magazines – and now he’s a star of the catwalk! JIFFPOM is clearly an apparel trendsetter – and we’re sure his appeal will extend to many other categories in 2019.”
