Takata is making its debut in Europe with two newly developed child seats for cars

takata14-neo is a child restraint system of group I for children weighing 9-18 kg (9 months to about 4 years). The seat has a patented belt pretensioning system for optimal anchorage with the automobile. The child is retained in its seat by means of a five-point full-harness belt system.

takata14-neo possesses a central belt adjuster which is easy to adapt.

The child restraint system lends itself to safe installation in many car types thanks to the unusual method of belt guidance and pretensioning applied. A simple mechanism ensures efficient belt tensioning in all situations.

The breathable, soft covering with comfort foam is extremely cushiony, snug and easy to clean because it is washable.

The latest novelty is a child restraint system of ECE group II/III (for children from 3 to 12 years or 15-36 kg).

Safety, handling and comfort (easy installation and buckling up) of the seat, whose size is variable in line with children’s growth, are exemplary. The seat shell can be adjusted in length and width in one single operation. An easily legible body size scale helps to find the correct adjustment for the child to be protected.

The seat features excellent front and side impact properties. Side impact protection is positively effective for head, shoulders and pelvis for all child sizes. This product incorporates the pooled know how and expertise of the Group in terms of occupant safety.

The shoulder belt guiding system can be controlled easily, single-handed, engaging automatically. So, in normal use the belt cannot deviate from the preset position and in a case of emergency the protective effect is always fully maintained.

Thanks to a reliable folding function the seat can be compactly tucked away. The seat is of excellent quality. The comfortably padded covering is washable.
