The Little King!

HEUNEC signed for another highlight from TELEPOOL: “The little King”! This successful property created by Hedwig Munck is a perfect addition to HEUNEC´s existing licensing portfolio of popular educational characters.

Hedwig Munck is artist, author and designer of the films and books around “The little King”.

“The little King” airs on rbb, ARD and Ki.Ka as part of the pre-prime-time programme “Our little Sandman”. Most German children recognize and love “The Little Sandman” and his dear friend, “The little King”. Children understand and identify the little King’s thoughts and feeling. Stories are told with humour and a twinkle in the eyes. The mischievous, loveable character is carefully drawn and animated. Besides the “Little Princess”, his best friends are “Grete” the horse, “Wuff” the dog, “Tiger” the cat, “Buschel” the squirrel and “Pieps” the bird.

As part of the HEUNEC licensing portfolio “The little King”, “Little Princess” and “Grete” the horse will enter the market as cuddly plush toys and soft plush cushions with cute images.

Like any other of HEUNEC´s products “The Little King and his Friends” are exclusively produced by special "ICTI"-certified manufacturing facilities and meets high-quality standards. HEUNEC was one of the first companies whose facilities have been certified according to the “Code of Conduct”. Certificates are reviewed annually.

After he made his successful debut at the TOY-Preview in Nuremberg this year, “The little King” is now looking forward to his great presentation at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg 2007.

Since 1997 “The little King” has been an integral and popular part of the Sandman-Show. The existing series is comprised of fifty-two 3.5-minutes episodes. Hedwig Munck is currently working on additional seasons. The show targets children, both boys and girls, aged between three and seven years.
