Firefly Heads Into the Holidays With Animated Special "Piney"
Brandora Editorial Staff - October 2021Firefly Brand Management is proud to announce that it has signed with Haylett Entertainment, LLC to be the exclusive North American licensing agent for the highly popular and recently Emmy® nominated children’s Holiday animated special “Piney: The Lonesome Pine.”
Commencing immediately Firefly will seek licensing partners in all top product categories for the touching holiday special. Based on the book The Lonesome Pine, written and self-published by Jane West Bakerink. “Piney: The Lonesome Pine” features the story of a cheerful Welsh girl who grows a talking pine named “Piney” to be her Christmas tree, but when he's accidentally removed from her grandfather’s Christmas tree farm, the girl and her grandpa frantically search to get him home before Christmas. Piney’s unexpected journey is filled with love, hope and inspiration.

The special has now secured 67 countries and continues to dominate this coveted time of year.” The animated special premiered in the U.S. in December 2020 and ran through January 2021 on Disney Junior, The Disney Channel, and the DisneyNOW app and is set to return on the channels for this year’s 2021 holiday season through the 2024 season.
