- Free TV rights for ZDF to animation series Zigby, Zeke’s Pad and Space Blog
Within the scope of the existing long-term framework contract, EM.Entertainment GmbH has concluded an agreement with German public broadcaster ZDF – thereby committing to three new animation series.

The agreement includes the 3D animated preschool series Zigby – based on HarperCollins Children’s Books wildly popular literary character “Zigby, the zebra who trots into trouble“. The story centers on the adventures of zebra Zigby that has a lively imagination and comes up with offbeat ideas – getting him and his and his friends in “trouble”...
The 52 episodes of the preschool program with eleven minutes each are produced by Avrill Stark Entertainment Pty Ltd, Zebra (I) Productions Inc. and Big Animation Pte Ltd in association with ABC (Australia) and Canadian station Treehouse. Completion is scheduled for September 2008. |
Furthermore, ZDF acquired broadcast rights to Zeke’s Pad: The comedy series (26 x 24 minutes) – animated in 3D with toonshader and produced by MyPad Productions Ltd and Avrill Stark Entertainment Pty Ltd. – is currently in production, with a completion date of February 2009.
The series, which targets eight to twelve year olds and has been pre-sold to YTV Canada and Channel 7 Australia, deals with a talented teenager named Zeke: He has an awesome little electronic drawing pad that mysteriously makes his drawings come to life ... |

ZDF has further decided to commit itself to the development of another EM.Entertainment program: The sci-fi/comedy series Space Blog of 26 half-hour episodes is developed by Flying Bark Productions, EM.Entertainment and ZDF and centers on the adventures of an alien princess on our pretty blue planet.
